IDRIS BEATS TAYO TO CLINCH THE $300,000 BBA PRIZE MONEY #BBAHOTSHOT
The youthful comic and aspiring actor managed to beat off stiff competition from Tayo, another Hotshot who had made the final two list but as it turns out, Idris' lucky star shone brighter than his thus coming out on tops this evening.
His win was proceded by evictions of Butterphly, Ma'm Bea, Sipe, JJ, Nhlanhla and Macky2. After Idris together with Tayo were declared the final two, Biggie called them to the Diary room where they'd their very last Diary as Hotshots final two during which Biggie wished them the very best of luck and urged them to continue playing their game even on the outside.
Shortly after leaving the Diary room, they were Chauffeur driven in a Limo to the Live Show stage and had a red carpet walk greeting fans and invited guests.
Host IK had a chat with the duo before going on to call out Idris' name as the winner of Big Brother Hotshots! He jumped up in excitement and went on the floor before being congratulated by Tayo, the 6 first evictees of the day and then the rest of the ex-Hotshots joined in the celebrations thereafter.
Huge congratulations to Idris, one lucky lad there!

FORBES : BEYONCE NAMED RICHEST FEMALE MUSIC ICON 2014
The huge sum, most of which was from her world tour, propelled Beyoncé, 33, from fourth place last year and put her firmly ahead of pop star Taylor Swift, 24, who came in 2nd with $64 million. Pop singer Pink, 35, climbed up from No. 8 in 2013 to third with $52 million.
'Beyonce played 95 shows during our scoring period, bringing in an average of $2.4 million per city,'
said Forbes, citing data from the Pollstar trade magazine. The R&B singer's self-titled album released last December and endorsement deals pushed her earnings up further assuring her the top spot.
Barbados-born Rihanna, 26, came in 4th with $48 million and Katy Perry, 30, who earned an estimated $40 million, ranked 5th. Madonna, 56, who ranked No. 1 last year, failed to make the top 10 in 2014. Lady Gaga, 28, slumped from No. 2 in 2013 to ninth place this year with estimated earnings of $33 million.
Forbes compiled the list after estimating pre-tax income calculated for the 12 months from June 2013 to 2014 based on record sales, concert tickets, touring information merchandise sales and interviews with concert promoters, lawyers and managers. It also looked at data from the Pollstar, the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) and tracking firm Nielsen SoundScan.
In 2009, Beyonce told Forbes of her work ethic:
'Like everyone else, you work really hard and you want it to be great; you want your friends to like it, What makes me feel comfortable is practice and knowing I'm prepared.

STEPHEN KESHI TESTIFIES HOW LUCRATIVE COACHING JOB CAN BE
'Big Boss' Keshi is on double the win bonus of the players and on that account, he received a total of $260,000 as appearance fee for the World Cup after the team agreed to pay each player $10,000 per game, covering both the qualifiers and the World Cup itself.
A total of 13 matches were considered and it was on that basis that the likes of Vincent Enyeama, Austin Ejide and Godfrey Oboabona each netted $130,000 as appearance fee. Therefore, the least a player received was $10,000 for playing a qualifier.
Keshi's World Cup jackpot also included an additional $40,000 being match bonus for the win over Bosnia, the draw with Iran and the loss to Argentina.
Keshi's assistant Daniel Amokachi therefore earned a staggering $195,000 as appearance fee as he earns 50% more than the players.
The federal government shipped $3.6 million through the sports minister on a Presidential jet on the eve of the round of 16 match against France.
Arguments and counter arguments about how the cash was to be shared meant that the entire squad stayed up till 2 a.m. local time and eight hours later they were on their way to the stadium for the match they eventually lost 2-0 to crash out of Brazil 2014.

CHRIS BROWN'S TRIAL DELAYED TILL JUNE 25 .
As Chris Brown's assault trial was delayed until late June, his on-and-off girlfriend Karrueche Tran vows to be there for the "Loyal" singer in any circumstances.
The 24-year-old singer is currently in jail due to his arrest of the alleged assault last October, representing a violation of the terms of probation, which was set following his previous assault on his then-girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009. Right before the trial was pushed back, he reportedly confided in Tran about how difficult it is for him to be in jail.
AMERICANAH: chimamanda Adichie
The issue of race is one she had never confronted in her native country, and certainly not in the Russian novels she idolized. She was shocked to discover how pervasive the issue was in America, and struggled to navigate the contours of an unbidden new identity.
“There was an assumption that I knew what it meant to be black,” Adichie says, still surprised more than a decade later. “People would ask me for ‘the black perspective,’ and I had no idea what that was.”
Adichie wasn’t prepared to be called “sistah” by men she had never met, and was mystified as to why references to fried chicken could be racist. “I remember seriously thinking, ‘Can I ask why this is racist?’” she says, laughing at the memory.

NIGERIA; A country where a sect overpowers its military.
Skeptics of Nigeria’s military campaign against the murderous Boko Haram gunmen in Nigeria’s northeast now have a smoking gun to prove that all is not well with the campaign.
Almost daily, Nigeria’s military authorities issue one bulletin after the other about their triumphs against the insurgents; the massive killings they have achieved, the bombing plots foiled, how they have flushed insurgents out of the major urban centres, how they have smoked out the insurgents out of Sambisa forest; how the ‘frightened’, hungry remnant, weakened forces of Abubakar Shekau have disappeared into the mountain fringes between Nigeria and Cameroon.
Each time we are entertained with such heroic stuffs, we are benumbed by how easy Boko Haram gunmen and bombers return to do even more horrifying damage, with impunity in the besieged Northeast.

Anti-gay law: Canada denies cancelling Jonathan’s planned visit
The Canadian Government has dismissed reports that it cancelled a planned visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to the country.
This clarification was made known by the Canadian Counsellor in Abuja, Ms Alexandra Mackenzie, in an interview with Punch.
Mackenzie said that there was never a scheduled visit of Mr. Jonathan to the country in the first place.
She, however, assured that her country will be glad to welcome the Nigerian leader whenever he so wishes to visit.
“Canada and Nigeria enjoy shared interest in expanding opportunities for economic, social and security cooperation between our two countries” she said.
The media was last week awashed with reports that the country has stopped President Jonathan from visiting, because he signed the anti-gay bill which bans same-sex marriage in Nigeria.
Last Monday, Presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati, announced that his principal had assented the bill.
The European Union countries including Canada, as well as some international organizations, have since declared opposition to the law, saying it negates human rights and freedom of expression.

IYANYA : NIGERIAN ENTERTAINERS ARE FORCED TO LIVE LARGE
entertainers are forced to live large. Excerpts…
"Why do you think some artistes come come up with hit songs and find it difficult to maintain it?" Iyanya "Music is very expensive. Most of them make money
and its had to put it back in the same thing. Your next money is not guaranteed because there are lots of artistes. If you say you wouldn't do show A, they can take artiste B for that show. It doesn't mean that because you have a hit song, you would be performing at all shows. It doesn't work like that. So, some of these guys, its hard for them. Its hard forthem to follow up.
Follow up is the hardest thing to do. Many artistes make a hit but the money they make from that hit is not even enough forthem to support or sponsor the next video. So
don't blame them'. Continue… So they need a lot of money to remain relevant? Iyanya "Yes
Let me give you an instance. I had a show here in
Lagos, I was in Dubai. They made a mistake and booked my flight for Monday and the show was on Sunday. We rushed to the airport, they said no that my ticket was forthe next day. After much pleading and explaining that I had a show that night in Lagos, they said alright. I could board but not business class since it wasn't my flight. I had to fly economy class with my business class ticket. Sitting down there, people around where staring at me like what am I doing here. A woman even walked
up to me and said "Iyanya, you no suppose dey here now, na the other side you suppose dey". What came to my mind next was that I can't just decide to fly economy today, it will become gist. I have to work hard, I have to make money, to live up to your expectations. It's not like am living my life for you but its the life I chose. So, I have to do it".
